Noel made me do it! It's her fault that I cheated on my scrap diet! Winning a gift certificate to http://www.noelmignon.com/ was great, because I was forced to get the Homeroom Kit (shown above). And then, I went to my LSS and got some more goodies! I may be hopelessly addicted to scrapbook shopping.

Studio Update
My studio is always a work in progress. I am constantly struggling to find the perfect storage and work space. My recent project included adding counter space in my studio. This 2'x10' counter gives me an additional work area, which I am thoroughly enjoying. I especially like the utility drawers that I use for my embellishments and rubber stamps. The drawers are about 2 feet wide and 2 feet long and 2" deep and hold a LOT of stuff. I have reserved one drawer for layouts in progress so I can just put my stuff away and keep my area tidy. I picked up the caddy at Pottery Barn and will add either some pics or patterned paper in the photo openings sometime soon, hopefully! I got the white one, but it also comes in black and a dark walnut brown. My office desk is still in the room, but I've almost moved all my essentials to the new area.
LOOK AT THIS!
I found this memory board at Big Lots for $4. I had to get 2 since they were so cheap! I will remove the current one that is all cluttered and then hang the 2 new ones on the wall above the counter. The electrician will be in to install recessed lighting next week. That should make me happy enough for awhile. Meanwhile, I've got to find time to go through everything and purge, purge, purge. So I'm officially on a scrap diet until I can get rid of some stuff!
A Look into my Studio Closet
This is a view of my Studio closet. The 8' closet was designed by The Container Store, and provides additional storage for my craft essentials.
Studio Tidbits
Remodeling my studio is going to be the best thing yet! Here are pictures of my computer area and book shelves which are located to the right of the computer desk, on the wall opposite the cricut die cut machine.
H ( Hannah)
Here is a layout I did of my friend's niece who graduated from High School this year. I cut out the patterned paper (Luxe Designs) which was a chore for me because I don't like to do all that detailed work on my layouts. I painted the edges of the photo and used lots of bling. Not my ordinary style, but I am pleased with the end result.
Craft Day!
I found these cute note pads at HL and embellished them for my colleagues to jump start the school year. Then I made several birthday cards in anticipation of back to school so I'll have a supply on hand. The cards were inspired by a Stampin' Up card class that I attended. I used Stampin Up stamps and patterned papers, along with my favorite Bazzill cardstock. Looking forward to a great school year!

Passionately PINK for the Cure
In October, I'll be going Passionately Pink for the Cure® to raise funds for the fight against breast cancer.
It’s passionate, because the need to end breast cancer is so urgent. It’s pink, because that’s the color we’ll wear to accomplish our goal.
I will be hosting events in order to help raise awareness and solicit funds for breast cancer research. All contributions will go directly to Susan G. Komen Foundation, which I've signed up with for this event. The weekend affair is set for Oct 18-19, so stay tuned for the details.
Think PINK and be ready to crop!

Be sure to check out the Sept/Oct issue of Simple Scrapbooks to see my layout. "5th Grade" recalls fond childhood memories of school. It was fun to work with Elizabeth Dillow on this publication. By the way, the layout is on page 51.

Texas ScrapFest
We had a blast at the Texas ScrapFest in San Antonio. Scrapjazz.com contributed products for me to do a make-and-take and the ladies seemed to enjoy it. I completed 10 layouts this weekend, one of my favs is this one of Auria. Scrapping those summer photos was so much fun.
